The BTF Rockwell Skid is designed with pure function in mind.  This part is CNC laser cut from 3/8" thick steel plate and 1/4" steel plate.  The ring or base of the cover is cut from 3/8" steel plate as is the main rib over the ring gear.  The side plates covering the bearing caps are fabricated from 1/4" steel plate.  The covers are fully welded inside and out.  The diff skids are shipped unpainted.  All you have to do is cut the bottom off of your Rockwell reinstall the diff and fit the cover over the ring gear, then weld in place.  It is a simple job that will save you ground clearance.
